The Connecticut Rivers Council is offering over 30 sessions of Cub Scout Summer Camp in 2017! These include full week day camps, full week overnight resident camps, one night Family camps, and two or three night mini-week resident camps. As one parent said, there is something for everyone, no matter where your Scout is along the Scouting trail.
Our tremendous camps are staffed by dedicated, energetic Scouters. Camp leaders attend National Camping School, where they receive the latest ideas for great fun, as well as training on operating safe and healthy camps.
Each camp is a Boy Scouts of America Nationally Accredited Camp, which assures parents that the camp has been well planned and is a safe environment. Leaders follow safety standards to ensure a safe and fun program for every boy. The camps are also inspected and licensed by the State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood.
A 5 day program perfect for Tiger, Wolf, and Bear Scouts but open to all. Day camp has all the fun of a summer camp experience without the overnight stays. Scouts will have a blast swimming, learning new skills, becoming a top shot on the BB and archery ranges, learning new games on the Sports Field, and having fun making crafts to bring home.
Summer camp is not just for Scouts! It is for families too! Family Camping with Connecticut Rivers Council is a great opportunity for Cub Scouts and their families to enjoy a camping experience with everyone in the family (mom, dad, sisters, brothers, aunts, etc.). Located at each of Connecticut Rivers Council’s camps, family camp is a one night experience from Saturday into Sunday.
The Mini Week Resident Camp is a 2-night/3-day or 3-night/4-day experience to introduce Cub Scouts to overnight resident camping. Mini Week Camp is a great introduction to the camping experience and will help a Cub Scout gain the confidence to spend a full week at camp.
Cub Scout Resident Camp is a week long, 5-night/6-day overnight camping experience. This week-long camp is similar to the Cub Scout Mini Week Camp, however Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to delve more deeply into activities and fulfill more rank advancement.
This action packed 6 day, 5 night resident camp is designed just for your Webelos Scouts as they complete their Cub Scout journey and pre- pare for Boy Scouts. This program is open to ALL Webelos but is a great transitionary Camp for Arrow of Light Scouts as they will soon be Boy Scouts.
The Connecticut Rivers Council believes all Scouts should have the opportunity to attend summer camp, no matter their financial situation. Therefore, the Connecticut Rivers Council is pleased to offer camperships to Scouts who are members of the Connecticut Rivers Council who attend a Connecticut Rivers Council Camp. Camperships are the equivalent of a school scholarship but for summer camp.
