NEW Youth Protection Training Requirements for ALL registered Scouters Effective June 1st 2010

Youth Protection Training is required for all registered volunteers.

New leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training before they submit their application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins. The current adult application can be found here - prior versions are not accepted.

Youth Protection Training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection Training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered. Click Here for the full details.

Local Tour Permits
As of January 1, 2009 at least one adult must have completed Planning and Preparing for Hazardous Weather Training to have your tour permit approved. For training go to www.scouting.org.

Could your unit use some extra cash? Our Scouts sold $1.85million in popcorn last year. Of that amount, over 70% of the sale proceeds stayed local. In fact, 1/3rd of that amount went directly to the unit's that sold to fund their programs and activities!
