Council Website Enhancements to Better Serve Units

Registration for events may have been frustrating to units who have to enter Scout names for each event.  Our website will now allow Scouts to enter a roster on their unit website once and to use this roster as event registrations are made.

 We recognize that unit participation at initial registration may not be the same as the event draws near.  Therefore, registrations for unit activities can be accessed from the unit site and updated as participation changes.  The registrations are held on the registration tab of a unit website.

In addition, these registration rosters can be exported to excel and/or printed for the units use at the event.

We are working with the district webmasters to ensure that events that normally have unit registrations have these options set up in the future.  If you are signing up for an event as a unit and the registration does not request a unit signup (prior to participant registration) please send the council webmaster a note ([Click for member's page]) and they will review that event’s registration.

Why we have units enter Scout Names: When we have an event, especially at our camps, it is important to know who is using that camp for safety reasons.  With the individual names available we can identify and locate individual Scouts in case of an emergency.  This “inconvenience” is a safety and service issue which really can’t be “inconvenient”.
