2017 National Jamboree

 

  

 

The National Jamboree announced that the fee for the Jamboree has been reduced, the new fee is $1900.

2017 National Scout Jamboree

At the Bechtel Summit Scout Reserve

   July 18 – 28, 2017

 

Whitewater rafting and kayaking, rock climbing and bouldering, and mountain biking are just a few of the activities offered at the Summit. There’s also skateboarding, BMX, shooting sports, and zip-line challenge courses. And that’s just the begin

 The excitement of the jamboree isn’t limited to Scouts. The Summit features a large visitor area, where day-users can try out some of the activities that the Scouts are doing around other parts of the Summit.

 Scouts must be First Class or higher and at least 12 years old by the start of the Jamboree

Ventures are also invited and encouraged to participate.

 

The Connecticut Rivers Council Contingent consists of

4 troops (144 scouts) and one Venture Crew (8 Ventures)

 

We will be leaving the Hartford CT area on the Tuesday 18th of July, arriving at the Jamboree on the Wednesday the 19th.  We will be packing up and coming home on Friday July 28th arriving sometime in the evening.

 

The Registration fee is $1900, a deposit of $200 is required at the time of registration.  

All the expenses for this event are prepaid.   As a result refunds will only be given if the vacant position in a jamboree troop is filled with another scout.

The payment schedule:

October 1st     $600

February 1st     $600

April 1st     $500

The fee includes the jamboree registration fee, transportation, meals, gear at the jamboree as well as backpack, duffle bag and additional personal gear.


 The Jamboree happens only every four years.  There are only four contingent troops of 36 scouts each and a Venture Crew of 10 Ventures and leaders attending from the CT Rivers Council.   Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity – Register Today!
