Den Chief Training

This training is for current Den Chiefs and Boy Scouts who wish be Den Chiefs. It helps Den Chiefs effectively assist Den Leaders and perform in their position. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REGISTER ON-LINE, send an e-mail to Mr. McColgan (MCCOLGANJJ@AOL.COM) and come to the training on Saturday with your registration fee (address checks to "CONNECTICUT RIVERS COIUNCIL".).

INTRODUCTION TO OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS

In IOLS leaders go into the woods to learn basic scout skills: set up camp; cook; work with woods tools and ropes; provide first aid; plan a campfire program; read a map and use a compass; hike and backpack; identify animals and plants; and Leave No Trace. This is the training that will make your position interesting, productive, and, most of all, fun.

OUTDOOR LEADERS SKILLS FOR WEBELOS LEADERS

During this outdoor overnight training you will learn essential outdoor skills that you can pass on to your Webelos scouts. You will also learn how to plan, conduct, and lead a Webelos overnight campout. This is great training!
