The Very Important Tiger (VIT) program is a new and exciting way for units to encourage Kindergarten-aged boys to join Cub Scouts in the spring, and become a part of a Cub Scout Pack over the summer. The VIT program provides a way for these boys and their families to participate in different events over the summer and earn special recognition at the first Pack meeting in the fall.

A new Limited Edition FOS Patch has been released. This patch costs $15 at the Council office and $16 online. All proceeds go to support the Connecticut Rivers Council youth development fund.

Attending a jamboree is certainly one of the highlights of any Scouting experience. Scouts (and Venturers) that participate in a jamboree come home and stay in Scouting. They become camp staff leaders, OA lodge officers and crew leaders. They get a life changing experience and you get a better council; it is a great “win-win”.
